Question 1

Can concrete with old tile or carpet glue be polished?

Accepted Answer

Often, yes. Our diamond tools can grind off glue, thinset, and mastic, but how the floor looks afterward depends on the slab's condition and how deep the stones sit. We check the slab first and give you our honest read on what to expect, though the final look can still vary. Sometimes the straight answer is that a polishable overlay is the better route.

Question 2

What affects the cost of polished concrete in Austin?

Accepted Answer

Price depends on floor area, removing old flooring, the slab's condition and repairs, edge work, and access. How much stone shows, the shine, color, protective treatments, and working in phases all count too. Rather than post flat rates we can't back up, we explain what drives cost and price each project on its own scope. Your signed proposal spells out the price and what's included.
